Von oben herab wird die Welt erklärt. Widerrede ist sinnlos, weil alles (zumindest dem Anschein nach) so dermaßen objektiv ist, dass man sich höchstens noch darüber ärgern kann. Wie der aalglatte Kollege, der nie etwas falsch macht – weil er eben nichts neues macht. Ohne eigene Meinung. Ohne Ecken und Kanten. Ohne Charakter.
Viele Journalisten schweben irgendwie in einer seltsam arrogant sphärischen Zwischenwelt. Keine Ahnung, ob die auf meiner Seite sind oder auf der anderen? Wollen die mir helfen oder wollen die mich einlullen? Oder halten die mich gar für minderbemittelt und kindisch? Ich kann Sie leider auch nicht fragen: Auf Kommentare antwortet dort niemand.
Einem Typen mit diesem Gebaren will ich nichts abkaufen. Seine Empfehlungen sind mir nichts wert und sein Freund werden will ich schon gleich dreimal nicht. Ein arrogantes Arschloch will keiner zum Freund!

Geld verdient man im (Social) E-Commerce anders. Da zählt das Gegenteil: Vertrauen. Authentizität. Freundschaft. Und das klare Bekenntnis, dass derjenige auf meiner Seite ist. - Auch Journalisten sind Menschen – und das darf man ruhig auch merken (Wenn was so richtig nervt, muss das auch geschrieben werden)
- Bildet zusammen mit Euren Lesern Communities (am besten zu verschiedenen Themen: Kneipengänger, Kleintierzüchter, Kulturliebhaber, Schnäppchenjäger, …)
- Fangt an ernsthaft zu Bloggen – am Ende ist Eure Zeitung ein Netzwerk aus Blogs (keinen Zeitungs-Blödsinns-Blog. Schaut nach, was es an authentischen, blogwürdigen und echten Interessen unter den Redakteuren gibt)
- Berichtet transparent über die eigene Arbeit und das eigene Erleben (wie war es wirklich auf der letzten Sitzung. Langweilig? – Schreiben!)
- Bringt mehr Meinung und Standpunkt in die einzelnen Artikel. Jeder denkt doch zu allem irgendwas. Und wenn nicht, sollte er nichts dazu schreiben. (jaja, das geht gegen das (blödsinnige) Gebot, dass Nachricht und Meinung getrennt werden müssen. Ihr findet schon Wege…)
- Überlegt, wie ihr Euren Lesern wirklich helfen könnt (zeigt ihnen, wie sie sich in ihrer Stadt zurecht finden, wo es gerade etwas neues, etwas umsonst oder die schönsten Frauen gibt. Hier helfen die Communities aus 4. ziemlich weiter)
- Wenn in Eurer Stadt garnichts los ist – schaut, dass etwas los ist (Veranstaltungen, Parties, blablub)
- Vergesst die Werbekunden nicht! (Die sind sowieso auch Leser und brauchen oft Hilfe und nicht nur Werbeplätze: Workshops für Onlinewerbung, technische Dienstleistung, Marketingseminare, Grafik, …)
- Lasst das Nachrichtenzeug raus, das sowieso auf Spiegel Online steht. Nutzt die Zeit anders und sagt Eure Meinung zu dem was in den Spiegeln der Welt geschrieben wird. (Es glaubt sowieso kein einziger Leser, dass die Nachricht von Euch ist. Sagt es einfach ehrlich und gut ist: “wir haben auf www.spiegel.de gelesen, dass…!”)
- Seid ein bisschen humorvoller, wenn ihr über humorvolle Nachrichten schreibt. (Selbst ein Smiley hat noch keinen umgebracht)
- Druckt eure Zeitung so lange es noch geht aber spart Euch die Mühe die dpa-Meldungen liebevoll umzuschreiben. Die sind schon ok so. (So ein geiles Geschäftsmodell kommt nie wieder…)
Und bei alledem vergesst nicht, dass ihr Journalisten seid. Der Wahrheit verpflichtet und mit dem Auftrag im Dreck zu wühlen. Nur die gut recherchierten Geschichten, schaffen das richtig tiefe Vertrauen – auch und gerade wenn sie anders rübergebracht werden.
Und danach klappt es hoffentlich auch (fast von alleine) mit der richtigen Integration von E-Commerce, Social Commerce, Affiliate, Veranstaltungsreihen, Reisen, Immobilien, Buchverkäufen und den ganzen anderen Sachen, mit denen sich als Zeitung Geld verdienen lässt.
