Langsam aber sicher sehen die deutschen Zeitungsverlage die Chance, die im Groupon-Modell steckt. Seit dem der WestDeal vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr gelauncht wurde, springt auch der Rest auf. Ganz aktuell stehen zwei Groupon-Klone aus Verlagshäusern neu in den Startlöchern:
Unter www.neckaralbdeal.de (noch nicht freigeschaltet) versucht sich die Reutlinger General-Anzeiger Verlags GmbH + Co. KG mit ihrem zweiten Klon. Bereits online ist der www.schwabenland-deal.de, der bisher den Raum Tübingen und Reutlingen abdeckt. Der Starttermin für den NeckarAlbDeal soll der 1. Juni 2011 sein. Mit dem Raum Neckar-Alb bietet der Klon Angebote aus einem Gebiet ohne nennenswerte Großstadt an. Gebiete in denen das große Vorbild Groupon bisher noch wenig aktiv ist.
Etwas verwundert hat die (noch inoffizielle) Ankündigung, dass auch die FAZ mit dem www.rheinmaindeal.net (noch nicht freigeschaltet) ab 1. Juli 2011 an den Start geht. Gerade bei der FAZ wird die Integration des Groupon-Klons in das Verlagsangebot wohl die größte Herausforderung. Vielleicht tut man der FAZ damit aber auch unrecht und man hat dort inzwischen aus der Zusammenarbeit mit etlichen Bloggern etwas gelernt.
Insgesamt stehen für diesen Sommer noch etliche andere Groupon-Klone in den Startlöchern. Von insgesamt etwa zehn neuen Verlags-Groupons ist momentan die Rede. Ob diese es allerdings schaffen, die treuen Zeitungsleser auch wirklich sinnvoll an die neuen Angebote heranzuführen, muss erst noch bewiesen werden. Eine Übersicht der bereits bestehenden Klone habe ich hier zusammengestellt.
Knackpunkte werden auch in Zukunft die Bildung von aktiven Communities rund um die Onlineangebote, die Integration in den redaktionellen Content und das richtige Verständnis in den Anzeigenabteilungen sein. Schön aber auf jeden Fall, dass inzwischen deutliche Bewegung in den Markt kommt.
